This 1965 Iso Rivolta is available on eBay out of Houston, Texas. The seller reports that the car is original aside from a repaint and the car appears to be well-preserved. The front is perhaps the least successful aspect of these cars aesthetically, but they are otherwise good looking and interesting cars that enjoy the traditional benefits of Italian styling and American drivetrains.
The body on this example looks straight and the trim is all present, which is important since it’s extremely difficult to replace if missing or damaged. The Borrani wire wheels look great and are a good option because some examples have steel wheels instead.
The interior has an equally Italian feel that is very captivating. The saddle colored leather is original and well-preserved, and the wood-rimmed steering wheel and rows of toggle switches push all the right buttons. The instruments are delicate and elegant, and will look familiar to anyone who has spent time in a contemporary Ferrari 250.
The engine comaprtment houses the good old Chevy small-block V8, reported to be a 327cid/350hp variant in this car. The engine compartment looks tidy and certain well-enough detailed for a driver, a role in which this car would be perfect.
This is a great looking and usable example of this stylish and elegant car. These cars have often been left to deteriorate since they are not as valuable as Grifos, so finding such a fundamentally unmolested example is quite rare. It would be a great car to simply use and enjoy, as long as you don’t mind answering the question “what kind of car is that?”
