Caterham/Lotus Seven Powered by Ford Cosworth BDA Formula Engine!
Friday, May 29th, 2009
This Caterham Lotus Seven is attractive and tidy, and available in the Redwood City, CA for $32,000. Widely considered to be the quintessential British sports car, Lotus originally produced the Seven in four series, with production ending in 1972. After that, Caterham bought the rights to the car, and continued to produce it in kit form, just as Lotus had. Countless other replicas of the car have appeared, powered by a variety of four-cylinder engines, usually of Ford origin (although variants such as the Westfield Seight have used Rover V8 engines).

An Ideal Speedster to Use and Enjoy with Performance Upgrades
Sunday, May 24th, 2009
This 1958 Porsche Speedster is available at European Collectibles for $104,950 and is an attractive and solid example with worthwhile performance upgrades. It has 356C disc brakes and a 95hp 912 engine, making it a superior performer to the hottest standard Speedster, the 75hp 1600 Super (besides the ultra rare and expensive Carrera four-cam). Since it is non-matching and non-original, it is also priced at considerably less than a matching example would be, making it a perfect example for someone looking to drive and enjoy a superior performing car for less money.

Perfectly Set Up 240Z Rebirth
Tuesday, May 19th, 2009
This 1972 Datsun 240Z is available on eBay out of Campbell, California. The car is a “rebirth” model, purchased by Nissan and restored, and then sold by franchised Nissan dealerships in 1998. It is impressively set up with tasteful modifications, which are visually subtle but mechanically worthwhile. The car has a great look, with headlight covers (which would have originally been illegal in the United States), front and rear spoilers, lowered ride height by Ground Control suspension, and 15″ Panasport minilight replica wheels, which are allusions to the extremely rare and desirable JDM performance models such as the 240ZG and Z432. Attractive and Fairly Original Italo-American Hybrid
Friday, May 15th, 2009
This 1965 Iso Rivolta is available on eBay out of Houston, Texas. The seller reports that the car is original aside from a repaint and the car appears to be well-preserved. The front is perhaps the least successful aspect of these cars aesthetically, but they are otherwise good looking and interesting cars that enjoy the traditional benefits of Italian styling and American drivetrains. This BMW E30 M3 is available on eBay with a starting bid of $18,950 and no reserve, or a buy it now of $21,500 in San Antonio, Texas. It is very clean and has been tastefully modified using very high quality parts by someone who knew what they were doing. Saturday, May 9th, 2009
This MGB GT with Rover V8 conversion is available on eBay and looks like a very thorough high-quality build. Though factory V8 MGB GT’s were built, they are rare and were never sold new in the United States. This one started as a 4-cylinder model and uses a hot-rodded version the same fundamental engine, the Rover V8 that has appeared in all sorts of British cars. This car looks great with no bumpers and minilight replica wheels.
