Lamborghini Miura Restoration Log
Week 8, 27 April 2007
27 April 2007: Restoration, Week 8: Bodywork assessment and chassis dolly complete and car in trailer with departure to body shop expected in the next few days. Brake calipers disassembled. Machine work continues. Starter and alternator sent out for rebuilding. New valves and guides on order.
The completed dolly with the car attached. The height is such so that the car is easier to work on.
Door innards.
Looking forwards toward the rear bulkhead. The aluminum panel was constructed during one of the car’s earlier restorations in Texas.
Looking in the nose aperture with the grille removed.
Inside the trunk…the severity of the rust damage is well in evidence here.
The floors. Note the late type lateral vents and the seam from when the floors were replaced before.
The block on its way to the machine shop.
The starter and the alternator and their way out to be rebuilt.
In place in the trailer.
Off she goes!
